What is yoga and how does a practice come together in a practical, grounded way?
In this episode of This Is How It Works, Puja Sue Flamm offers a clear introduction to yoga as a complete system rather than just a physical exercise. She explains what defines a yoga practice, what it is designed to support, and where common misunderstandings have shaped how it is often approached today. Sue walks through the eight limbs of yoga, outlining how each aspect contributes to a balanced and integrated practice.
She also introduces several styles of yoga, including restorative and more dynamic approaches, helping viewers understand how different methods serve different needs. This conversation presents yoga as a structured and adaptable practice that supports awareness, regulation, and presence. Rather than performance or flexibility, it is shown as a system that can be applied in a way that is sustainable and relevant to everyday life.
