In this episode, Tam Dillon explores how patriarchal systems have shaped masculine identity and why the current cultural shift can feel challenging for many men. For generations, masculinity has often been defined through narrow expectations such as emotional restraint, control, and the pressure to provide and lead without vulnerability.
These expectations did not just shape social roles, they shaped how many men came to understand their value and place in society. As conversations around the feminine rising grow and traditional power structures are questioned, many of these long-standing definitions of masculinity are also being re-examined.
This episode looks at why that shift can create confusion or defensiveness, and why it is important to recognise that patriarchal systems limited men as well as women. Rather than being a rejection of masculinity, the feminine rising invites a broader understanding of leadership, strength, and identity.
When emotional intelligence, partnership, and shared responsibility become part of how society defines strength, men gain the freedom to move beyond rigid roles and participate more fully in relationships, family life, and community life.
