In this episode, Tam Dillon explores what happens when long-standing systems of power begin to be questioned and challenged. When people start naming inequality, imbalance and harm that has existed for generations, strong emotional reactions often follow. Anger, frustration and resistance can all emerge as part of the process of recognising and confronting these realities.
This episode looks at why these reactions are a natural part of social change, but also why lasting transformation requires more than simply reversing the power dynamic. If one form of domination is replaced with another, the underlying structure of power has not truly changed.
Tam also introduces the idea of toxic femininity and how leadership can become unhealthy when it is expressed through manipulation, hostility or authoritarian behaviour, regardless of gender. The feminine rising is not about replacing one form of control with another. It is about transforming the structure of power so that empathy, cooperation and responsibility for the wellbeing of the whole community become central values.
