This episode brings together traditional practitioners and educators from varied lineages to explore what witchcraft actually is — and what it is not. The conversation traces how colonisation, religious power, and cultural fear transformed complex spiritual technologies into superstition, taboo, or entertainment, and how these distortions continue to shape modern perceptions.
A central focus of the discussion is dismantling the false binaries that dominate public narratives. The panel examines how “light” and “dark” have been weaponised as moral categories, obscuring the deeper realities of intention, responsibility, and relational ethics that guide authentic practice. Rather than framing witchcraft as inherently good or evil, the conversation centres it as a relational system — with land, ancestors, elements, and unseen forces.

Ken Clardy
Elder High Priest – Mystic Crow Wiccan Temple. An elder High Priest based in Greenville, South Carolina, and founder of the first state-chartered and formally recognised Wiccan temple and seminary in South Carolina, established in 1990. He has spent decades working in community education, interfaith dialogue, and public advocacy to dispel misconceptions about Wicca and Pagan traditions. He has served on the boards of Greenville’s Interfaith Forum, South Carolina Upstate Pagan Pride, and Carolina Pagans With a Purpose.
A retired psychiatric nurse, his work also includes mentoring and counselling individuals navigating spiritual development. Mystic Crow Wiccan Temple offers open sabbats, public events, and long-term mentorship.
Tam Dillon is a mentor, educator and founder of Critical Mass. She works with practitioners, healers and teachers to integrate ancient wisdom with modern systems so their calling becomes a lived, sustainable practice. Her work centres clarity, structure and ethical embodiment in spiritual and healing work.
Alyssa Flowers is a born gifted Psychic Medium who has been offering public readings since 2017. She has worked across multiple professional platforms and founded her business in 2017, now known as Magikal Divinations. Alyssa has appeared on live radio and local news and is known for her accuracy and grounded approach to psychic mediumship.
Based in Southeast Texas, she offers readings, ritual work, and herbal services for both local and online communities. Her practice blends intuitive ability with lived experience, offering accessible spiritual services while maintaining respect for the craft.
Leonie Maritz is a certified Traditional Astrologer, Tarot Reader, Life Coach, and crystal consultant with a BA in Psychology and English. She consults and teaches through her practice, Zodiac Tarot, which focuses on client empowerment, spiritual wellness, and consciousness development. A graduate of Laurie Naughtin’s Sublunar Academy, The Centre of Applied Jungian Studies, UNISA, and Dialogue SA, Leonie brings a grounded, structured, and thoughtful approach to spiritual education. Her areas of expertise include Traditional Natal Astrology, Tarot, Dream Analysis, and Crystals, and she is known for holding conversations with clarity, balance, and respect for diverse perspectives.
